The megalithic temples of Malta, which since 1980 are included in the list of protected cultural objects of UNESCO world heritage sites, are a fractured group of seven prehistoric sanctuaries, built with the help of huge stone boulders on the Islands of Malta and Gozo. Just within the boundaries of the Maltese archipelago rises more than twenty similar structures, which are one thousand years older than the Egyptian pyramid complex at Giza. All of them were created with the use of megaliths – huge stone blocks, partially or completely treated. The size of some of the stones reach eight meters in length and a weight of fifty tons. Like their more famous counterparts Machu Picchu in Peru and Stonehenge in the English County of Wiltshire, the temples were built in the same style without the use of any fastening solution.

During the transition from summer to winter every day the Sun rises a little further South than the day before, and reaches its southern most position at the winter solstice; this position is marked by arches. The points of sunrise and sunset in the vernal and autumnal equinoxes are also marked. Thus, in total, six positions of the Sun.
Quite similarly and the Moon rises every night in different points of the horizon, but its movement from the extreme Northern to the extreme southern position occurs much faster than the Sun: two weeks, not six months. Continue reading
Know, sons of the Victorious, these three worlds is only mind.
Victorious not based its teachings upon faith in the correctness of any one system, but taught according to needs and abilities of those who led.
The Buddha told Ananda. “Whereupon are the heaven of Yama, Tushita, and all the heavens of the world of forms and the world without forms?” Ananda replied: “They approved the inconceivable power of karma.”
Many Buddhist texts written on the basis of the experience obtained through the practice of Right Samādhi and the attainment of Wisdom, contain descriptions of the various worlds of the universe. These texts give the leash a simple interpretation of the content of the worlds, because it is too large for a detailed description and would take a huge amount, losing ease of understanding. The Buddha talked about a detailed explanation of the worlds of the universe “. it is pointless to talk about such things with people who do not have relevant experience”. Continue reading
