Mallorca is very developed in terms of tourism. Largely on the attractiveness of the island is influenced by its wonderful nature. From the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana, the highest point Puig Major- more than four thousand meters above sea level – open to classic mountain paintings. Here, in this mountainous part of the island, is a small beautiful town of Valldemossa, Deia and Soller. The sanctuary, close to Mayak, which was excavated in the Northern Caucasus, in early medieval Bulgaria. All of them are built on the principle of “square in square”, that is, inside a large rectangular or square structures there is less, if a rectangular square shape, inside of which a fire was burning. This is one of the characteristic traditions of the Turkic religious buildings where worship of fire, sun, light has occupied an important place.
In 1988 in the study of Vlasov Second burial ground of the bronze age and early iron age, situated 2 miles North of the village of Vlasivka of Gribanovsky area of the Voronezh region (excavations by A. T. Sinica and D. V. Berezutsky) revealed very interesting and totally unique building – underground labyrinth, construction area of about 254 square meters (the scheme ). Continue reading
On the old pier in the English town of Southend has built a cultural center. Thinking through the nuances of design, designers have not forgotten about the birds living in the neighborhood.
In the town of Southend – on – sea (Essex, UK) is one of the longest and oldest piers in the world, survived several fires, shipwrecks two world wars and a number of reconstructions. It was built in the Victorian era, around 1830, but new buildings did not appear on the pier since 2000. In 2009 the Landscape Institute UK has announced a competition to design cultural centre, which was won by the group in the Bureau White Arkitekter, Sprunt and engineering company Price & Myers.
The building has an area of 376 sq m is very different from the Victorian buildings of Southend. It is intended to connect the city to the coastal zone. Fearing flooding, the authors of the project decided to raise the building to the Foundation 1.5 the level of the pier. Continue reading
