The oldest ruling dynasty in the history

Japanese legends and in particular according to the epic “Kojiki” Jimmu was the great-grandson of the sun goddess and that’s why it is not only the founder of the Japanese state, and the second after the celestial. With the help of the divine origin of the rulers of ancient Japan was trying to exalt the Royal power and to unite the country. Just as the Japanese Empire claims the title of oldest state on Earth, and of the Imperial house of Japan can rightfully claim the title of oldest in the world. If you believe the legends, the current dynasty has ruled the Country of the rising sun more than 2600 years. Such longevity can only envy. The ruling dynasty of European and other countries are much younger. The oldest in Europe – Danish, for example, traces its origins back to the year 899, i.e. has a little more than 1100 years.

However, the existence of the first 25 emperors Japanese historians have serious doubts. The first Emperor whose existence is well documented, was Keitai (507-531), 26-th. In any case, even the biggest skeptics admit that the Japanese monarchy is not less than one and a half thousand years, which still makes it the oldest on the planet. Continue reading

Gothic style – Gothic style in the interior

The culmination of the development of medieval European art is restrained mystical Gothic style, which replaced the lush extravagance of the Romanesque style. Bright mosaic stained glass Windows, soaring spires of the needles, the glow of gold, expression, a Symphony of harmonious combination of light, glass and stone – can be figuratively characterized the Gothic style in the interior. The term “Gothic” appeared in Sunny Italy during the Renaissance. So ironically the Romans called the primitive barbaric cultures of the passing into oblivion of the middle ages. First, the word “Gothic” was used in literature when the author wanted to somewhat ironic to denote in the text distorted Latin. Later Gothic became a definite architectural style, which in a nutshell can be called eerily majestic.

Hygiene in ancient times and the feudal system

Empirical observation from everyday experience in the field of personal life, and eventually of social practice was the basis of hygienic knowledge already in ancient times. Based on the instinctive desire of people to preserve life and health, these observations gradually expanded. Depending on the climatic conditions in which people lived, from the habits and social organization of society, hygiene measures, covering a wider field of life improved, although there are no theoretical foundations for their improvement did not exist: the practice is considerably ahead of theory, as is often the case in other areas of human knowledge.
